> An agile project adds a board, an overview, cycles and an activity grid to a project. Pick Kanban, Scrum or Scrumban when you create it.

An agile project is a project of the type **Agile**. It suits work that flows through stages and is planned in short stretches: a product, a website, a course you build in pieces. It is the same kind of project as any other, with more views. In agile projects Prior also calls tasks "issues" in a few labels, such as **New issue**. They are the same tasks you see everywhere else.

An agile project can be Kanban, Scrum or Scrumban. Kanban is free. Scrum and Scrumban need Pro: see [Choose Kanban, Scrum or Scrumban](https://priortasks.com/docs/agile/kanban-scrum-scrumban/).

## Create one

1. Go to **Projects** and choose **New project**.
2. Type a name, then open **More options**.
3. Under **Project type**, choose **Agile · Kanban**, **Agile · Scrum** or **Agile · Scrumban**.
4. Choose **Create project**.

To turn an existing project into an agile one, or the reverse, open **Edit project** and change **Project type**. Your tasks are kept.

## The tabs

| Tab | What it holds |
| --- | --- |
| **Board** | Columns **Backlog**, **Todo**, **In progress**, **Waiting** and **Done**. Drag a card to another column, or open its menu and choose **Move to**. |
| **Issues** | The same tasks as a list, with a search box and filters. On a phone this tab comes first. |
| **Overview** | The brief, status, health, start and target dates, progress, people and milestones. |
| **Notes** | The project's notes: shared live with the team, or kept for yourself. See [Project notes](https://priortasks.com/docs/notes/project-notes/). |
| **Cycles** or **Sprints** | Planned stretches of work. Shown once the project has one, or from **Add a view**. See [Plan cycles and sprints](https://priortasks.com/docs/agile/cycles-and-sprints/). |
| **Planning Poker** | Estimate stories together. Scrum and Scrumban only. |
| **Activity** | Tasks completed or created per day. See [See a project's activity](https://priortasks.com/docs/collaboration/activity/). |

A **Budget** tab also shows once the project has a budget line, or from **Add a view**. See [Project budget](https://priortasks.com/docs/projects/project-budget/).

## What cards show

A card carries its title, its priority (or its size in story points), a **Blocked** mark when it waits on another task, the progress of its sub-tasks such as 2/5, its milestone, its parent task and its assignee. Inside the task you can set a parent, "blocked by" tasks and a milestone; see [Sub-tasks and dependencies](https://priortasks.com/docs/tasks/sub-tasks-and-dependencies/).

Milestones group tasks toward a checkpoint. Create one from **Overview** with **New milestone**: a name, a target date and the tasks it holds. See [Milestones](https://priortasks.com/docs/projects/milestones/).

## Work with a team

Agile projects are built to be shared. Once other people are in, the board offers an assignee on each card, **Mine** and **Unassigned** filters, comments on every task and the **Activity** grid. See [Share a project](https://priortasks.com/docs/collaboration/share-a-project/) and [Assign tasks to people](https://priortasks.com/docs/collaboration/assign-tasks/).

In the header, a status menu (**Planned**, **Active**, **Paused**, **Completed**) tells the team where the project stands. Health (**On track**, **At risk**, **Off track**) is set in **Edit project**.
