Raise your pet

Your pet starts as an egg, hatches when you finish your first task and grows as you level up. It never gets sick or sad, and you can dress it.

In Game mode you get a pet. It lives at the bottom of the sidebar, cheers when you finish a task and shows up as your avatar on leaderboards. It has no needs: it never gets sick, sad or dies, and a week away costs it nothing.

The egg

Turning on Game gives you an egg. It hatches when you complete your next task or check in a habit. Prior picks the species at random and shows a hatching scene where you can name your pet.

SpeciesChanceWhat it is
Mochi35%A round, squishy cloud-cat.
Fern30%A little moss sprout that perks up when you do.
Nova25%A small star-fox with a twinkling tail.
Ember10%A tiny dragon with a warm heart. Rare.

The roll happens on the server when the egg hatches, so it cannot be re-rolled. Until then, Progress → Pet shows the egg and "Complete a task to hatch it".

How it grows

Your pet changes form at fixed levels:

StageFrom level
Babyhatching
Young10
Adult25
Radiant50

A message tells you when it grows up. Progress → Pet shows the next level it evolves at.

Moods

The mood is for fun only and depends on your day:

  • Happy once you have finished something today, and for a while after each completion.
  • Content if your last completion was yesterday.
  • Sleepy if it has been longer.
  • Asleep at night, from 23:00 to 06:00 your time.
  • Excited right after a level-up.

It hops with a heart when you complete a task and dances when you level up. On desktop its eyes follow your pointer. Click it and it purrs.

The den

Open Progress (click the pet in the sidebar) and choose the Pet tab to see its den:

  • Name: type a name of up to 24 characters. It saves when you stop typing.
  • Wardrobe: choose a Hat, Face item and Neck item among the ones you own. They come from chests.
  • Room: pick one item to decorate the den.
  • Evolution: the forms your pet has reached.

You can grab the pet with the mouse or a finger and throw it: it bounces off the walls and settles. A hard throw makes it dizzy for a couple of seconds. For the keyboard, a Toss button throws it gently. The motion follows Effects in Settings → Game: Subtle halves it, and Off, or your system's reduced-motion setting, keeps it from flying at all.
