Use the calendar
See your events, habits and planned tasks in one calendar, create events with repeats, and move them by dragging.
The calendar shows your own events, the events of calendars you connected, your habits that have a time and, with Pro, the blocks Prior planned for your tasks. Open Calendar in the sidebar or press G then C.

Views
Choose Day, Week, Month or Agenda. The week view is the default on a computer, the day view on a phone, and Prior remembers your last choice for each kind of device. The arrows move one period, Today brings you back, and the mini month in the side panel jumps to a date. Search this period looks through the events shown.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| T | Go to today |
| ← → or K J | Previous or next period |
| D W M A | Day, Week, Month, Agenda |
| N | New event |
| / | Search |
On a phone, swipe sideways to move to the next or previous day, week or month.
Create an event
Press New event, or click an empty slot in the Day or Week view, or drag across several slots to set the length. Fill in the title and the time, then save.
- Calendar: which of your own calendars holds it. The first time, Prior creates one named My calendars for you.
- All day, and a start and an end date for events over several days.
- Repeat: Does not repeat, Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly, with an interval, the days of the week for weekly events, and an end: Never, On a date or After a number of occurrences.
- Location or video link, a Description and a Color.
- Locked: planning never moves a locked event, and a locked all-day event such as a holiday blocks the whole day.
Draft with AI at the top of the form turns a sentence into a draft that you review before saving.
When you edit a repeating event, Apply to lets you pick Entire series or Only this occurrence. Duplicate copies an event.
Move and resize
In the Day and Week views, drag one of your own timed events to move it, even to another day of the week, and drag its bottom edge to change its length. Times snap to 15 minutes. A toast with Undo follows every move. Imported events, habits and planned blocks open with a click instead. A planned block can be dragged too, which locks it.
What else shows
- Imported calendars are read-only. Open one of their events to change its colour, lock it or hide it in Prior. Prior never changes the original.
- The Habits switch in the side panel shows or hides your habits. Open a habit's event to mark it done for that day.
- Planned blocks are hatched with a sparkle (Pro). See Plan your day with automatic time blocking.
Good to know
- Times use your device's time zone, and your events keep their local time when the clock changes.
- Your own calendars and events are saved on your device, and sync to your other devices when you are signed in.
- Calendar events have no reminders and no guests. For a reminder, use a task. See Reminders.
- If Calendar is missing from your sidebar, turn it on in Settings → General → Navigation.
